Mindset Coaching

Mindset coaching to end self-doubt and go after your goals.

It’s never too late to change the way you think.

What does the word mindset mean? To put it simply, it’s how you think. It’s the thought patterns you have, your attitude toward life, and the way you approach questions and problems.

For example, do you consider yourself a glass-half-full or glass-half-empty kind of person?

Do you believe people can change?

Do you usually think the best of people or the worst?

When you think about an outcome, are you generally expecting failure or are you looking forward to success?

Some common thoughts my clients bring to me:

  • “I’m stuck and overwhelmed”

  • “I can’t say no to people because I don’t want to hurt them”

  • “Sometimes I feel like I’m not enough”

  • “I get overwhelmed with everything, and then end up doing nothing”

  • “I overthink things; it’s just what I do”

  • “I know I care too much about what other people think, but I don’t know how to change that”

  • “Being sensitive is just really hard and I don’t think that will change”

A lot of times, we get stuck in self-doubt, fear, worry, and patterns of negativity. Why? Well for one thing, above all else our brain wants to protect us. It wants us to stay in our comfort zone, even if it’s painful and mundane, because at least it’s a pain we’re familiar with. We may be in discomfort, but it’s a discomfort that we know. And that, often, is a powerful reason the brain presents to us that stop us from changing things up or taking a risk. Because what if you try something new and it brings embarrassment, failure, or shame? What if you quit your horrible job only to get a worse one? (Or any other negative scenario that might be swirling around in your head when you think about actually pursuing your goals).

But here’s the great news: you can retrain your brain.

Science has proven again and again the power you have to change your way of thinking, and therefore change your behavior, and ultimately change your life. By using different strategies, taking small steps, and making small changes, you can literally create new neuropathways in your brain that allow you to shift your mindset and create new possibilities for yourself.

When you start to shift your mindset and become more open to changes, you start to see things you didn’t before. You become more receptive. You’re more open to creative solutions and new ideas, and the more you practice that new mindset, the more positive changes you can make in your life.

This is what can happen when you shift the focus from dread, fear, and doubt, to possibility. And this is why mindset makes all the difference in changing your life.
